2 Sticks of Ezekiel 37

The children of Israel are to be gathered by the record of Judah (the Bible); and the record of Joseph; of which the Nephite Record is only a part. I will now quote from Ezekiel xxxvii: 16-21, which is plain concerning this matter. Remember that in ancient times, writing was engraved upon stone and upon metallic plates, and they also wrote upon parchment which they rolled around a stick. A roll of parchment was called a "stick."

"Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: and join them one to another in one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not show us what thou meanst by these? children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land."

It is evident that this, like many other prophecies, refers to the time when the Israel of God will be gathered together in righteousness

say unto them, .... Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land."

It is evident that this, like many other prophecies, refers to the time when the Israel of God will be gathered together in righteousness.

and holiness; when they shall be God's holy people forever. It says in this chapter, 23d to 28th verses, that when they are gathered, they shall "No more defile themselves with their idols .... nor with any of their transgressions," and the Lord "will cleanse them, so they shall be my people, and I will be their God." ... and "they shall walk in my judgments ... and (I) will set my sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore. .... And the heathen (all who are not Israel) shall know that I the Lord do sanctify Israel when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them forevermore." (Concerning a literal gathering of the House of Israel, in righteousness and holiness, see chapter 2.) The Gentiles are first now, and the Jews last: but the Jews and all the House of Israel will be first some day, and the Gentiles last. It is through the "fullness of the Gentiles," that the veil of blindness which is now over Israel, shall be taken away. The cup of iniquity of the Gentiles is almost full; then God will turn to Israel, for Israel is not cast away forever. "Blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.... There shall come out of Sion, the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob." (See Romans 11th chapter).

GENESIS CHAPTER 49

1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

ROMANS 11
11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

The man referred to in Genesis xlix:24, and by Paul in Romans xi:26. The passage in Genesis is Joseph's blessing: "From thence is the Shepherd, the stone of Israel." From the seed of Joseph will come a man who shall be the Shepherd to gather scattered Israel in the last days. This does not mean Christ, for he came from the seed of Judah. The other passage in Romans says, "There shall come out of Sion (this land) the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob." This does not mean Christ, as you can see by reading the context.

2nd Nephi 2
5 For behold, thou art the fruit of my loins; and I am a descendant of Joseph, who was carried captive into Egypt.
6 And great were the covenants of the Lord, which he made unto Joseph; wherefore, Joseph truly saw our day.

This man is to be of the seed of Joseph, (of Egypt) of the seed of Lehi, who is a descendant of Joseph, which Lehi came over to this land from Jerusalem 600 years B.C.: The American Indians (the Lamanites) being the remnant of that seed.

7 And he obtained a promise of the Lord, that out of the fruit of his loins, the Lord God would raise up a righteous branch unto the house of Israel;
8 Not the Messiah, but a branch which was to be broken off; nevertheless, to be remembered in the covenants of the Lord,
9 That the Messiah should be made manifest unto them in the latter days, in the spirit of power, unto the bringing of them out of darkness unto light; yea, out of hidden darkness and out of captivity unto freedom.
10 For Joseph truly testified, saying: A seer shall the Lord my God raise up, who shall be a choice seer unto the fruit of my loins.
11 Yea, Joseph truly said, Thus saith the Lord unto me: A choice seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins; and he shall be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins.
12 And unto him will I give commandment, that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren, which shall be of great worth unto them, even to the bringing of them to the knowledge of the covenants which I have made with thy fathers.
13 And I will give unto him a commandment, that he shall do none other work save the work which I shall command him.
14 And I will make him great in mine eyes: for he shall do my work.
15 And he shall be great like unto Moses, whom I have said I would raise up unto you, to deliver my people, O house of Israel.

17 But a seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins; and unto him will I give power to bring forth my word unto the seed of thy loins;
18 And not to the bringing forth my word only, saith the Lord, but to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth among them.

19 Wherefore, the fruit of thy loins shall write; and the fruit of the loins of Judah shall write;
20 And that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together,
21 Unto the confounding of false doctrines, and laying down of contentions, and establishing peace among the fruit of thy loins,
22 And bringing them to the knowledge of their fathers in the latter days;
23 And also to the knowledge of my covenants, saith the Lord.
24 And out of weakness he shall be made strong, in that day when my work shall commence among all my people, unto the restoring thee, O house of Israel, saith the Lord.
25 And thus prophesied Joseph, saying: Behold, that seer will the Lord bless;
26 And they that seek to destroy him, shall be confounded:
27 For this promise, of which I have obtained of the Lord, of the fruit of thy loins, shall be fulfilled.
28 Behold, I am sure of the fulfilling of this promise.
30 And he shall be like unto me; for the thing which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand, by the power of the Lord shall bring my people unto salvation;
31 Yea, thus prophesied Joseph, I am sure of this thing, even as I am sure of the promise of Moses: for the Lord hath said unto me, I will preserve thy seed for ever.
36 And the Lord said unto me also, I will raise up unto the fruit of thy loins: and I will make for him a spokesman.
37 And I, behold, I will give unto him, that he shall write the writing of the fruit of thy loins, unto the fruit of thy loins; and the spokesman of thy loins shall declare it.
38 And the words which he shall write, shall be the words which are expedient in my wisdom should go forth unto the fruit of thy loins.
39 And it shall be as if the fruit of thy loins had cried unto them from the dust; for I know their faith.
40 And they shall cry from the dust; yea, even repentance unto their brethren, even after many generations have gone by them.
41 And it shall come to pass that their cry shall go, even according to the simpleness of their words.
42 Because of their faith, their words shall proceed forth out of my mouth unto their brethren, who are the fruit of thy loins;
43 And the weakness of their words will I make strong in their faith, unto the remembering of my covenant which I made unto thy fathers.
44 And now, after this manner did my father of old prophesy.
45 Wherefore, because of this covenant thou art blessed: for thy seed shall not be destroyed, for they shall hearken unto the words of the book.
46 And there shall raise up one mighty among them, who shall do much good, both in word and in deed, being an instrument in the hands of God, with exceeding faith.
47 To work mighty wonders, and do that thing which is great in the sight of God, unto the bringing to pass much restoration unto the house of Israel, and unto the seed of thy brethren.

This Choice Seer (A Lamanite-Native American himself) is to convince the Lamanites in person, and do a great work among them ("his brethren") in person.

2 Nephi 11:130 For the book shall be sealed by the power of God, and the revelation which was sealed, shall be kept in the book until the own due time of the Lord, that they may come forth: for, behold, they reveal all things from the foundation of the world unto the end thereof.

To understand 2 Nephi refer to the article ( Lehi is quoting Joseph to his youngest son)

Restoration Directive

The Reason Their Has Always Been A Dark Cloud Hanging Over The Book Of Mormon........

THE PURPOSE OF THE BOOK OF MORMON

1NE.7:17 And after our seed is scattered, the Lord God will proceed to do a marvelous work among the Gentiles, which shall be of great worth unto our seed;

The restoration cannot be separated from the promises made to the Lamanites.

2NE.12:1 And now, behold, my brethren, I have spoken unto you according as the Spirit hath constrained me; wherefore, I know that they must surely come to pass.
2 And the things which shall be written out of the book shall be of great worth unto the children of men, and especially unto our seed, which is a remnant of the house of Israel.
3 For it shall come to pass in that day, that the churches which are built up, and not unto the Lord, when the one shall say unto the other, Behold, I, I am the Lord's; and the other shall say, I, I am the Lord's.

The restoration, or LDS, RLDS, has always claimed to be the only true church, the restored church. The Book of Mormon condemns them and ALL Churches not built unto the lord.

12 Yea, and there shall be many which shall teach after this manner, false, and vain, and foolish doctrines, and shall be puffed up in their hearts, and shall seek deep to hide their counsels from the Lord; and their works shall be in the dark; and the blood of the saints shall cry from the ground against them.
13 Yea, they have all gone out of the way; they have become corrupted.
14 Because of pride, and because of false teachers, and false doctrine, their churches have become corrupted; and their churches are lifted up; because of pride, they are puffed up.

They have ALL become corrupted.

Isaiah 29:24 Wherefore, when thou hast read the words which I have commanded thee, and obtained the witnesses which I have promised unto thee, then shalt thou seal up the book again, and hide it up unto me, that I may preserve the words which thou hast not read until I shall see fit in mine own wisdom to reveal all things unto the children of men.
25 For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men, save it be according to their faith.
26 And again it shall come to pass, that the Lord shall say unto him that shall read the words that shall be delivered him( Joseph Smith), Forasmuch as this people (those around Joseph in the early church) draw near unto me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their hearts far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precepts of men, therefore I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people; yea, a marvelous work and a wonder; for the wisdom of their wise and learned shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent shall be hid.

27 And woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord. And their works are in the dark; and they say, Who seeth us and who knoweth us? (Masons in the leadership of the church) And they also say, Surely, your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay. (changing revelations)
28 But behold, I will show unto them, saith the Lord of hosts, that I know all their works.
(The Inspired Version and the Doctrine and Covenants)
For, shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

The people around Joseph at that time had other motives, rather than the Lords Work. We are the result of 175yrs. Of disobeying God’s directive for Book of Mormon believers. THE MASONIC INFLUENCE IS IN EVERY BOOK OF MORMON CHURCH, IT’S IN THE STRUCTURE OF THE PRIESTHOOD, THE VERRY FOUNDATION.

During the time the plates were being translated some revelations were given to them , they are sections 2-16 in the D&C.

[Sec 2:6a] Nevertheless, my work shall go forth, for, inasmuch as the knowledge of a Savior has come unto the world, through the testimony of the Jews, even so shall the knowledge of a Savior come unto my people, and to the Nephites, and the Jacobites, and the Josephites, and the Zoramites, through the testimony of their fathers;
[Sec 2:6b] and this testimony shall come to the knowledge of the Lamanites, and the Lemuelites, and the Ishmaelites, who dwindled in unbelief because of the iniquity of their fathers, whom the Lord has suffered to destroy their brethren the Nephites, because of their iniquities and their abominations;
[Sec 2:6c] and for this very purpose are these plates preserved which contain these records, that the promises of the Lord might be fulfilled, which he made to his people;
[Sec 2:6d] and that the Lamanites might come to the knowledge of their fathers, and that they might know the promises of the Lord,
[Sec 2:6e] and that they may believe the gospel and rely upon the merits of Jesus Christ, and be glorified through faith in his name, and that through their repentance they might be saved. Amen.

THIS CANNOT GET ANNY PLAINER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sec 83:8a] And your minds in times past have been darkened because of unbelief, and because you have treated lightly the things you have received, which vanity and unbelief hath brought the whole church under condemnation.
[Sec 83:8b] And this condemnation resteth upon the children of Zion, even all; and they shall remain under this condemnation until they repent and remember the new covenant, even the Book of Mormon and the former commandments which I have given them, not only to say, but to do according to that which I have written,
[Sec 83:8c] that they may bring forth fruit meet for their Father's kingdom, otherwise there remaineth a scourge and a judgment to be poured out upon the children of Zion; for, shall the children of the kingdom pollute my holy land? Verily, I say unto you, Nay.

[Sec 3:10d-e] And I said unto them, that it should be granted unto them according to their faith in their prayers: yea, and this was their faith, that my gospel which I gave unto them, that they might preach in their days, might come unto their brethren, the Lamanites, and also, all that had become Lamanites, because of their dissensions.

[Sec 3:11] Now this is not all, their faith in their prayers were, that this gospel should be made known also, if it were possible that other nations should possess this land; and thus they did leave a blessing upon this land in their prayers, that whosoever should believe in this gospel, in this land, might have eternal life; yea, that it might be free unto all of whatsoever nation, kindred, tongue, or people, they may be.

[Sec 3:12] And now, behold, according to their faith in their prayers, will I bring this part of my gospel to the knowledge of my people. Behold, I do not bring it to destroy that which they have received, but to build it up.

[Sec 3:13] And for this cause have I said, if this generation harden not their hearts, I will establish my church among them.[Indians] Now I do not say this to destroy my church, but I say this to build up my church: therefore, whosoever belongeth to my church need not fear, for such shall inherit the kingdom of heaven: but it is they who do not fear me, neither keep my commandments, but buildeth up churches unto themselves, to get gain; yea, and all those that do wickedly, and buildeth up the kingdom of the devil; yea, verily, verily I say unto you, that it is they that I will disturb, and cause to tremble and shake to the centre.

[Sec 3:15] And I will show unto this people, that I had other sheep, and that they were a branch of the house of Jacob; and I will bring to light their marvelous works, which they did in my name; yea, and I will also bring to light my gospel, which was ministered unto them, and behold they shall not deny that which you have received, but they shall build it up, and shall bring to light the true points of my doctrine: Yea, and the only doctrine which is in me; and this I do, that I may establish my gospel, that there may not be so much contention:

Yea, satan doth stir up the hearts of the people to contention, concerning the points of my doctrine; and in these things they do err, for they do wrest the scriptures, and do not understand them: therefore, I will unfold unto them this great mystery, for behold, I will gather them as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, if they will not harden their hearts: Yea, if th[e]y will come, they may, and partake of the waters of life freely.

[Sec 3:16] Behold this is my doctrine: whosoever repenteth, and cometh unto me, the same is my church: whosoever declareth more or less than this, the same is not of me, but is against me: therefore, he is not of my church. [Which is what they did]

Now, as you have asked, behold, I say unto you, Keep my commandments, and seek to bring forth and establish the cause of Zion:

BRING FORTH-----THE BOOK FROM AMOUNG YOU TO THE LAMANITES……
THIS IS A COMANDMENT……..IN DOING SO THIS BEGINS THE PROCESS OF ESTABLISHING THE KNOLEDGE TO THE LAMANITES OF PROMISES AND COVENANTS THE LORD HAS MADE TO THEM, BRINGING THEM TO KNOW THEY ARE OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAIEL.

2NE.12:80 For after the book of which I have spoken shall come forth, and be written unto the Gentiles, and sealed up again unto the Lord, there shall be many which shall believe the words which are written; and they shall carry them forth unto the remnant of our seed.
81 And then shall the remnant of our seed know concerning us, how that we came out from Jerusalem, and that they are descendants of the Jews.
82 And the gospel of Jesus Christ shall be declared among them; wherefore, they shall be restored unto the knowledge of their fathers, and also to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, which was had among their fathers.

FOR EVERY ACTION THERE IS A REACTION……..THE REACTION OF DOING WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO WILL GIVE CAUSE FOR ZION TO BEGIN….

WHAT THE RESTORATION IS TODAY IS THE RESULT OF IN-ACTION OF GODS DIRECTIVE.

Say nothing but repentance unto this generation: keep my commandments, and assist to bring forth my work according to my commandments, and you shall be blessed.

WE DON’T WANT ANNY BLESSING

1NE.4:24 They shall be grafted in, being a natural branch of the olive tree, into the true olive tree;
25 And this is what our father meaneth;
26 And he meaneth that it will not come to pass, until after they are scattered by the Gentiles;
27 And he meaneth that it shall come by way of the Gentiles, that the Lord may shew his power unto the Gentiles, for the very cause that he shall be rejected of the Jews, or of the house of Israel:

THE JEWS WERE A STIFF-NECK PEOPLE LIKE-UTO THE GENTILES

28 Wherefore, our father hath not spoken of our seed alone, but also of all the house of Israel, pointing to the covenant which should be fulfilled in the latter days;
29 Which covenant the Lord made to our father Abraham, saying, In thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

EPHRAIM’S BLESSING BY HIMSELF ARE CRUMBS COMPAIRED TO COLECTIVLY WITH ALL THE TRIBES TOGETHER! DIVIDED HE WILL ALWAYS FALL!

3NE7:31 Behold, because of their belief in me, saith the Father, and because of the unbelief of you, O house of Israel, in the latter day shall the truth come unto the Gentiles, that the fullness of these things shall be made known unto them.
32 But wo, saith the Father, unto the unbelieving of the Gentiles, for notwithstanding they have come forth upon the face of this land, and have scattered my people, who are of the house of Israel; and my people who are of the house of Israel, have been cast out from among them, and have been trodden under feet by them;
34 And thus commandeth the Father that I should say unto you,

At that day when the Gentiles shall sin against my gospel, and shall reject the fullness of my gospel, (REJECT THE PURPOSE OF THE BOOK.)

and shall be lifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations, (AND CHURCHES), and above all the people of the whole earth, and shall be filled with all manner of lyings, and of deceits,(CLAIMING TO HAVE THE AUTHORIZED PRIESTHOOD), and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and murders, and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, and of secret abominations;
35 And if they shall do all these things, and shall reject the fullness of my gospel, behold, saith the Father, I will bring the fullness of my gospel from among them;
36 And then will I remember my covenant which I have made unto my people, O house of Israel, and I will bring my gospel unto them;
37 And I will shew unto thee, O house of Israel, that the Gentiles shall not have power over you, but I will remember my covenant unto you, O house of Israel, and ye shall come unto the knowledge of the fullness of my gospel.
38 But if the Gentiles will repent, and return unto me, saith the Father, behold, they shall be numbered among my people, O house of Israel;

The marvelous work is not the creating of another Gentile church, which is what the people in 1830 did.
1: The church never left the earth it was in the wilderness, (out of site).
2: The priesthood never left the earth it also was hidden.
3: To believe otherwise is to have, blinders on when it comes to history. Study The Second Great Awakening and Charles Finney.

A FINAL CALL
Dick Bauman, servant of Christ, March 2009
Part 6: FALLACIES

Right after the manuscript was finished, men around him convinced Joseph that it could be sold, and they could make some money by
doing so. The venture failed. The men around him convinced Joseph that the new little church, already in full operation with the structure given in the Book of Mormon (elders, priest, and teachers) for about 8 months, and having all the gifts of the Spirit, should be, and subsequently was, organized ‘according to the law of the land’ (incorporated) April 6, 1830. The gifts stopped!

Joseph declared himself, Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, on that day! From that day on, he was NEVER a prophet, seer, or revelator! From that day on (Joseph had already given away the translating stone), Joseph said he could come up with his own revelations. And he did. With the help of his brother and father, he began to add many things. His father, Joseph Smith, Sr. had joined Free Masonry about 10 years before his son found the plates, and his brother Hyrum, whom young Joseph said was his favorite confidant, joined Free Masonry when Joseph went after the plates. Their influence helped
Joseph Smith turn away from the simplicity of the Book of Mormon message.

Another person, Sidney Rigdon, who had helped Alexander Campbell form the Campbellite movement (Church of Christ), read the Book of Mormon, went to see Joseph and joined the movement. The term ‘restoration’, used by Campbell became the theme of the new movement. Sidney, much older than Joseph, and already a professor of theology, soon became the foremost advisor and scribe for Joseph.

The plain and simple gospel quickly metamorphosed into a completely different creature. Soon strange doctrines, completely different from the Book of Mormon developed into the hard-and-fast tradition of modern day Mormonism. The prophecy of Enoch, which had already been in Free Masonry in the 1700’s, and in print in the United States in 1802, became a favorite in the ‘restoration’. The two priesthoods of Free Masonry – Aaronic and Melchisidec- were also brought in, as well as various offices and new traditions not in the Book of Mormon, such as bishop, high priest, seventy, high councils, oaths, salutations, secret meetings, etc.. The Book of Mormon says all things should be named after Christ, (such as the ‘priesthood’), not men; and Christ’s way is openness, etc..

SO MANY CHANGES WERE MADE THAT WERE CONTRARY TO THE PLAIN AND SIMPLE GOSPEL, THAT JOSEPH AND SIDNEY HAD TO CHANGE THE ORIGINAL COMMANDMENTS!

For example, the commandment that said Joseph’s ONLY work was to translate the Book, and he wasn’t even to pretend to any other work, was changed to read “until it is Finished”! Joseph then had a ‘revelation’ that he was to be prophet, seer, revelator, and apostle, and from that time on everyone was to accept everything he said as coming from God’s “own mouth.”

And the commandment to “rely on the words (of the Book of Mormon manuscript) that are written; for in them are all things written, concerning my church, my gospel, and my rock”, were changed to say “all things written, concerning ‘the foundation’ of my church, my gospel, and my rock”. Making that change then allowed any kind of church, etc., to be built, altered, etc., on the foundation!!!

Another original revelation said that the Lord was going to “work a reformation” (NOT restoration!), and the church was going to be established “like unto the church which was taught by the disciples in the days of old.” (referring to the ancient Native American disciples in the Book of Mormon) 154 words were cut out of the original revelation!

Joseph and Sidney made a new bible, called the Inspired Version, which included the Prophecy of Enoch, and other changes which would support Free Masonry. The manuscripts of which show revisions of revisions, and extra interpolations! This is a real stretch to call this version of the Bible ‘Inspired’. The finalized manuscript is all in the handwriting of Sidney Rigdon. I call it the “Conspired Version”!

One of Joseph’s ‘revelations’ caused 150 people to trek hundreds of miles from Kirtland, Ohio (where they had built a Masonic-type temple) to ‘redeem Zion’ (Independence, Missouri), but before they got there one-third of the group was killed by a plague! He then told them they were unworthy.

The fact was, that out of thousands of members, THEY were the ones that obeyed the call to follow him!

The grief-stricken group was then told by ‘revelation’ to return to Kirtland, Ohio (where the church had already built a Masonic-type temple) to receive ‘an endowment’. The ensuing endowment, written in church history as a glorious event attended by angels, and the temple could be seen for many miles glowing with fire, was shown to be in their own church newspaper the following day as a 7-hour, boring event, that little happened, and the people finally just went home!

Joseph and Sidney officially joined the Masons several years before he was killed, and about 1,000 men joined with them about the same time! Interestingly, when Joseph was jailed upstairs in the Carthage jail, and an angry mob had gathered outside and was firing bullets into the upstairs window, Joseph did a strange thing.

(I believe that everyone whose faith is in Jesus Christ would have knelt and prayed for God’s intervention; but instead, Joseph evidently felt that there were many Masons in the mob that would honor the Masonic Distress Call, which is, “O Lord, my God is there no help for the widow’s son!” Every Mason is bound by oath to immediately come to the aid of a fellow mason when that call is made.)

Joseph, however, went to the window and said, “O Lord my God”--- and they shot him, and he FELL out the window. This was also a fulfillment of the very first revelation given through the translating device, which reads:
“Remember, remember, that is not the work of God that is frustrated, but the work of men: for although a man may have many revelations, and the power to do many mighty works, yet, if he boasts in his own strength, and sets at nought the counsels of God, and follows after the dictates of his own will, and carnal desires, HE MUST FALL and incur the vengeance of a just God upon him.”

Did he do those things? In the last couple of years before he FELL (fulfilling the first prophecy given thru the stone) out the window and died, he came up
with ‘revelations’ on eternal marriage, polygamy, blood atonement, and exultation.

Eternal marriage meant that a woman must be tied to a man to have the highest heavenly reward forever.

Polygamy, of course, meant that the old men could have their pick of the young girls.

Blood atonement means, if a brother is straying from the truth, its better to spill his blood (Kill him!) and save his soul than to have his soul go to hell!

And exultation means by fulfilling the requirements of a good Mormon that this took you BEYOND SALVATION, and you could walk right past the angels, to be greater than them. It is summed up in the statement: “As man is, God once was; as God is, man can become!” This, of course, takes away the divinity, and omnipresence, and unchangeability of God.

The Book of Mormon speaks distinctly AGAINST all of these things!

One final thing. When Joseph came up with the ‘revelation’ on polygamy, his wife Emma was against it. Joseph told her that if she didn’t accept it that the Lord would destroy her. Well, about a year later Joseph was killed, but Emma lived many years after!

Deceived as they are, there are many, many wonderful, warm, loving, sincere Mormons who are waking up to the truth. May God bless them in their search.

BOY'S DREAM - QUETZALCOATL'S PROPHECY

information and excerpt from WARRIORS OF THE RAINBOW, STRANGE AND PROPHETIC DREAMS OF THE INDIAN PEOPLES, by William Willoya and Vinson Brown

When Vinson Brown was five years old, his father, who was a doctor on the Sioux Reservation of Pine Ridge, South Dakota, saved the life of the chief of the Oglala Sioux and was gifted with a beautiful, beaded pipe bag. When the boy touched it he felt a sensation go up his arm and into his heart. From the age of five until the age of nine he had the following dream every few weeks:

"In my dreams I seemed to be floating in the sky looking down at a land of many round hills. On the top of each hill was a group of Indians. Some of them were lying on the dry grass, with their fingers digging into the ground despairingly. Others lifted their arms hopelessly to the sky. Women were huddled together weeping. All were wearing old, cast-off whitemen's clothing, just rags. Their faces were filled with a deep sadness, ....There seemed to be growing a strange light up in the sky. Looking up, I saw the sunlight flashing on the wings of a beautiful white bird, a dove...As the dove came near the top of one of the hills, a strange and remarkable thing happened. The Indians there suddenly sprang to their feet, gazing up at the dove. The white men's rags fell from their bodies and disappeared. Instead they now lifted their heads proudly under the handsome headresses and their bodies were covered with clean buckskin that glittered with beads....Their faces glowed with happiness and joy....They began to march up into the sky after the dove, marching with the springing steps of conquerers....Other dark-skinned peoples rose joyously from hill after hill....Drums began to mutter, lifting and rolling into thunder, and pipes shrilled.... Voices chanting ancient songs.... Slowly a bow formed in the sky, a rainbow of people marching to glory, a rainbow of unity...."

Many years followed and Vinson tried to get someone to interpret his dream. When he was an adult and travelling from New Mexico to Arizona he met an Otomi Indian. When he heard about the dream he said, "I know what the dream means.... Long ago there lived a great prophet-king of the Toltec Indians of southern Mexico, called Quetzalcoatl...

"He foretold that in time the white men would come out of the eastern sea....that the white men would be like a bird that had two different kinds of feet. One foot would be the foot of the dove and the other would be the foot of the eagle. The foot of the dove meant the religion of Christianity... a religion of love and kindness... The foot of the eagle meant the way most of the white men treated the Indians, by clawing them, killing them, enslaving them and exploiting them.

"But Quetzalcoatl promised that a few hundred years after the first coming of the white men other white men would come to the Indians with both feet the feet of the dove.... They would lead the Indians up from the earth of despair and defeat into the sky of hope, freedom and triumph....

"The fact that the Indians you saw in the sky were wearing the clothes of the ancient days meant that these white men would not make fun or laugh at the old Indian culture and religion. instead they would teach the Indians to be proud of their ancestors and get back the great spirit and knowledge the ancient people had. As true brothers, both the Indians and these white men would start to build a better world in which justice, peace and love between men would rule."

William Willoya and Vinson Brown began their search fot this "great spirit of change that is now growing in the world."

He Walked the Americas

He Walked the Americas

A story about Christ in the Americas

Excerpted from "He Walked the Americas"

By L Taylor Hansen

"We are the Ancients, and our skin is red: with us, the Sacred Color. These are our legends told about the campfires on winter's evenings. When you string them together, remember our great pride. Now we are looking down and our feathers are drooping. Tell the legends so that our young men will realize that the ancestor threads run in many directions. Through the tribes we have captured and with whom we have intermarried there is a red thread which runs back to the Red Land long sunken in the Destruction. There is a thread which runs far to the south where the mountain tops touch the sky and the Thunder Bird moves through the lightning’s. There is a golden thread which touches Tollan, The Mighty, and beautiful Tula, while through some of our mothers there is a white thread to the words of The Prophet. Tell my young men to listen."

--Asa Delugie, War Chief of the Mescallero Apaches.

"This is our book. May you write it in beauty as we have told it in beauty."--Zeahley Tso, Chief of the Navajo.

`"There is evidence that some of our ancestors may have come from the ancient trading empire of Chan Chan centuries before the rise of the Incan Power in Peru. Tell my people to learn of this great power which once ruled eyes. Tell them to look up and learn."

--So-Sah-kuku, Chief Snake Priest of Oraibi.

"This is our book-these legends of Ancient times. They are of the blood which courses through our veins. We of the Seven Tribes of the Black Tortoise once had a Dream of Empire. Yet farther back through the cycles of Time we knew the Great Wakon-Tankah, but we forgot His words. These legends should help us to look up and remember."

--Shooting Star, of the Dakota Sioux.

The legends that follow are the legends of the Healer. These legends were told by the fireside of a "saintly white teacher," who performed miracles with healing and control over the winds, waters, and other natural items. All describe his eyes as gray-green like the ocean and told stories of the future. His symbol has been woven into blankets, carved on canyon walls, put on pottery and danced in dances. His name has been given to mountains and rivers.

Though the stories are many and spread throughout the Americas, they are broken into bits and pieces, hard to follow and piece together into one tale. His name varied, most names were reflective of his control over the wind and water, as he would request each tribe to name Him as they wished, stating there was no value to a name.

The information given here is given that you might see and feel for yourself see the legends for yourself the stories of the Pale Prophet from the Native Peoples of the Americas. . To determine within yourself if this prophet was actually Jesus, or some other. Is there where Jesus was going when He talked about going to other sheep with his Apostles?

John 10:16 (NIV) t "I have other sheep that are not of this flock, I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd."

“The restoration movement”

Let me hasten to say that for any of the churches that sprang up in the “restoration movement” that followed the publication of “The Book of Mormon” in 1830 because, protestations of these church’s apologists notwithstanding, a close reading of the Book of Mormon will show that none of these churches have hit the mark as set forth in the book of Mormon, because of many reasons, first and foremost being that the Book of Mormon, after its translation and publication, was supposed to be given directly to the American Indians, and THEY were supposed to build up the Church of Christ, the only valid name given in the Book of Mormon.

Mind you, I am not arguing pro or con for ANY church, or schism of any church associated with belief in the Book of Mormon, because ALL of them have either added to, or subtracted from the teachings of the Book of Mormon which contained a VERY simple message called the “Fullness of the Gospel.” Since it’s publication in 1830, most Book of Mormon believers have gotten involved in ceremonies and practices and doctrines and dogma directly opposed to the theology contained in the Book of Mormon. My only wish is to reap the most valuable pearls from these or any scriptures which discuss “All Things Common.”

If the Book of Mormon was put on trial today in an American court of law (and the more time that goes by, the harder the evidence becomes) that would find the Book of Mormon innocent of any charges of fraud, beyond the shadow of a doubt.

But sad to say, if Joseph Smith, the “founder” of the Mormon religion(s) and all its schisms were put on trial today, he would surely be found guilty if all the evidence against him were heard by reasonable groups of minds. For example, his “second elder,” Oliver Cowdery, (who was to be equal to Smith in every way) and the first several other original church historians, were personally kicked out of the church by Joseph Smith because they “called him” on preaching one thing and doing another. Joseph then personally rewrote the history of the church, and Brigham Young later announced publicly “We are rewriting the history of the church.”

According to available records you may study even today, Joseph Smith was instructed to have one gift and one gift only, and that was to simply to translate the Book of Mormon with the tools provided with the golden plates, period! He was never to claim to be a “prophet,” much less a “seer” or a “revelator.” He was never to start a church that was organized under man’s laws. He was told by the Lord to stop doing these things, and eventually, he was told the church was under condemnation, and it still is!

II Nephi 11:

80 But behold, I prophesy unto you concerning the last days,
Concerning the days when the Lord God shall bring
these things forth unto the children of men,

81 After that my seed and the seed of my brethren
shall have dwindled in unbelief and
shall have been smitten by the Gentiles,

82 Yea, after that the Lord God shall have camped against
them round about and shall have laid siege against them
with a mount and raised forts against them;

83 And after that they shall have been brought down
low in the dust, even that they are not,

Yet the words of the righteous shall be written,
And the prayers of the faithful shall be heard,
And all they which have dwindled in unbelief
shall not be forgotten.

84 For they which shall be destroyed shall
speak unto them out of the ground,
And their speech shall be low, out of the dust,
And their voice shall be as one that hath a familiar spirit,

85 For the Lord God will give unto him power
that he may whisper concerning them,
even as it were out of the ground;
And their speech shall whisper out of the dust.

86 For thus saith the Lord God:
"They shall write the things
which shall be done among them,
And they shall be written and sealed up in a book;
And they that have dwindled in unbelief shall not have
them, for they seek to destroy the things of God;

87 Wherefore, as they which have been destroyed
have been destroyed speedily,
And the multitude of their terrible ones
shall be as chaff that passeth away,

88 Yea," thus saith the Lord God, "it shall be
at an instant, suddenly!"

89 And it shall come to pass that they which have dwindled
in unbelief shall be smitten by the hand of the Gentiles;

90 And the Gentiles are lifted up in the pride of their eyes
and have stumbled because of the greatness of their
stumbling block, that they have built up many churches;

91 Nevertheless, they put down the power
and the miracles of God,
And preach up unto themselves their own wisdom
and their own learning, that they may get gain
and grind upon the face of the poor;

92 And there are many churches built up which
causeth envyings and strifes and malice;

93 And there are also secret combinations, even as in times
of old, according to the combinations of the devil;
For he is the founder of all these things, yea,
the founder of murder and works of darkness,

94 Yea, and he leadeth them by the neck with a flaxen cord
until he bindeth them with his strong cords forever.

95 For behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you
that the Lord God worketh not in darkness;

96 He doeth not anything, save it be
for the benefit of the world,
For He loveth the world, even that He layeth down
His own life that He may draw all men unto Him;

97 Wherefore, He commandeth none that they shall not
partake of His salvation.

98 Behold, doth He cry unto any, saying, "Depart from Me"?

99 Behold I say unto you, Nay!

But He saith:
"Come unto Me, all ye ends of the earth,
Buy milk and honey without money and without price."

100 Behold, hath He commanded any that they should depart
out of the synagogues, or out of the houses of worship?

101 Behold I say unto you, Nay!

102 Hath He commanded any that they should not
partake of His salvation?

103 Behold I say unto you, Nay!
But He hath given it free for all men;
And He hath commanded His people that they
should persuade all men unto repentance.

104 Behold, hath the Lord commanded any that they
should not partake of His goodness?

105 Behold I say unto you, Nay!
But all men are privileged, the one like unto the other,
And none are forbidden.

106 He commandeth that there shall be no priestcrafts;
For behold, priestcrafts are that men preach
and set themselves up for a light unto the world,
that they may get gain and praise of the world,
But they seek not the welfare of Zion.

107 Behold, the Lord hath forbidden this thing!
Wherefore, the Lord God hath given a commandment
that all men should have charity, which charity is love;

108 And except they should have charity, they were nothing;
Wherefore, if they should have charity, they would not
suffer the laborer in Zion to perish;

109 But the laborer in Zion shall labor for Zion,
for if they labor for money they shall perish.

110 And again, the Lord God hath commanded
that men should not murder,
That they should not lie,
That they should not steal,
That they should not take the name of the Lord
their God in vain,
That they should not envy,
That they should not have malice,
That they should not contend one with another,
That they should not commit whoredoms,
And that they should not do any of these things;

111 For whoso doeth them shall perish.

For none of these iniquities come of the Lord, for He
doeth that which is good among the children of men;

112 And He doeth nothing save it be plain
unto the children of men;

113 And He inviteth them all to come unto Him
and partake of His goodness;

114 And He denieth none that come unto Him-
black and white,
bond and free,
male and female;

115 And He remembereth the heathen;
And all are alike unto God-both Jew and Gentile.

116 But behold, in the last days, or in the days of the Gentiles,
Yea, behold, all the nations of the Gentiles,
and also the Jews-
Both they which shall come upon this land,
And they which shall be upon other lands,
yea, even upon all the lands of the earth-
Behold, they will be drunken with iniquity
and all manner of abominations.

117 And when that day shall come, they shall be visited
of the Lord of Hosts,
With thunder and with earthquake,
and with a great noise,
and with storm and tempest,
and with the flame of devouring fire;

118 And all the nations that fight against Zion and that
distress her shall be as a dream of a night vision;

119 Yea, it shall be unto them even as unto a hungry man
which dreameth,
And behold-he eateth,
But he awaketh, and his soul is empty;

120 Or like unto a thirsty man which dreameth,
And behold-he drinketh,
But he awaketh,
And behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite;But he awaketh,

121 Yea, even so shall the multitude of all the nations be
that fight against Mount Zion.

122 For behold, all ye that do iniquity,
stay yourselves and wonder;
For ye shall cry out and cry,
Yea, ye shall be drunken, but not with wine;
Ye shall stagger, but not with strong drink.

123 For behold, the Lord hath poured out upon you
the spirit of deep sleep,

124 For behold, ye have closed your eyes;
And ye have rejected the prophets,
And your rulers and the seers hath He covered
because of your iniquity.

(As in the beginning of the book of mormon they came from the east by sea and brought the written record of the Jews with them which contained Isaiah...Nephi is telling the future events to his people of what will take place on this land, he quotes Isaiah 29:11-24)

125 And it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall
bring forth unto you the words of a book;
And they shall be the words of them
which have slumbered;

126 And behold, the book shall be sealed;
And in the book shall be a revelation from God, from
the beginning of the world to the ending thereof.

127 Wherefore, because of the things which are sealed up,
the things which are sealed shall not be delivered in the day
of the wickedness and abominations of the people;

128 Wherefore, the book shall be kept from them;

129 But the book shall be delivered unto a man, [Joseph Smith]
And he shall deliver the words of the book, which are
the words of they which have slumbered in the dust,
And he shall deliver these words unto another; [Translate]
But the words which are sealed he shall not deliver,
Neither shall he deliver the book.

130 For the book shall be sealed by the power of God;
And the revelation which was sealed shall be kept
in the book until the own due time of the Lord,
that they may come forth;
For behold, they reveal all things from the foundation
of the world unto the end thereof.

131 And the day cometh that the words of the book which
were sealed shall be read upon the housetops; [The Indian Seer in 2 Nephi:2
And they shall be read by the power of Christ;
will do this]

132 And all things shall be revealed unto the children of men
which ever hath been among the children of men,
and which ever will be,
Even unto the end of the earth.

133 Wherefore, at that day when the book shall be delivered
unto the man of whom I have spoken,
The book shall be hid from the eyes of the world
that the eyes of none shall behold it,
Save it be that three witnesses shall behold it
by the power of God, besides him
to whom the book shall be delivered,
And they shall testify to the truth of the book
and the things therein;

134 And there is none other which shall view it,
Save it be a few according to the will of God, to bear
testimony of His word unto the children of men;
For the Lord God hath said that the words of the faithful
should speak as if it were from the dead.

135 Wherefore, the Lord God will proceed
to bring forth the words of the book;
And in the mouth of as many witnesses as seemeth
Him good will He establish His word;
And wo be unto him that rejecteth the word of God!

136 But behold, it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall
say unto him to whom He shall deliver the book,
"Take these words which are not sealed
and deliver them to another,"
That he may show them unto the learned, saying,
"Read this, I pray thee." [This is explained below]

137 And the learned shall say:
"Bring hither the book and I will read them."

138 And now, because of the glory of the world
and to get gain, will they say this,
And not for the glory of God.

139 And the man shall say:
"I cannot bring the book, for it is sealed."

140 Then shall the learned say:
"I cannot read it."

141 Wherefore, it shall come to pass that the Lord God
will deliver again the book and the words thereof
to him that is not learned;
And the man that is not learned shall say:
"I am not learned."

142 Then shall the Lord God say unto him:
"The learned shall not read them,
for they have rejected them,
And I am able to do Mine own work;
Wherefore, thou shalt read the words
which I shall give unto thee;

143 Touch not the things which are sealed,
For I will bring them forth in Mine own due time,
For I will show unto the children of men
that I am able to do Mine own work.

144 "Wherefore, when thou hast read the words which
I have commanded thee and obtained the witnesses
which I have promised unto thee,
Then shalt thou seal up the book again and hide it up
unto Me, that I may preserve the words which thou
hast not read until I shall see fit in Mine own wisdom
to reveal all things unto the children of men.

145 "For behold, I Am God and I Am a God of miracles;
And I will show unto the world that I Am the same
yesterday, today and forever;
And I work not among the children of men,
save it be according to their faith."

[A certain length of time passes since the translating of the book was completed and
the Lord adresses Joseph Smith on a grevious matter pertaining to the people who
build up a church arround the book which was explained above]

146 And again, it shall come to pass that the Lord
shall say unto him that shall read the words
that shall be delivered him:
"Forasmuch as this people draw near unto Me with
their mouth and with their lips do honor Me,
But have removed their heart far from Me and their
fear toward Me is taught by the precept of men,
Therefore, I will proceed to do a marvelous work
among this people,

147 Yea, a marvelous work and a wonder;
For the wisdom of their wise and learned shall perish,
And the understanding of their prudent shall be hid.

148 "But wo unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel
from the Lord!
149 And their works are in the dark and they say,
'Who seeth us?' and 'Who knoweth us?'

150 And they also say, 'Surely your turning of things upside
down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay.'

151 "But behold, I will show unto them," saith the
Lord of Hosts, "that I know all their works;

152 For shall the work say of him that made it,
'He made me not'?

153 Or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it,
'He had no understanding'?

David Whitmer..one of the 3 whitenesses..

I have in my possession the original manuscript of the Book of Mormon, in the handwriting of Oliver Cowdery and others, also the original paper containing some of the characters transcribed from one of the golden plates, which paper Martin Harris took to Professor Anthon, of New York, for him to read "the words of a book that is sealed:" but the learned professor, although a great linguist could not read the language of the Nephites. There is some evidence in the American Cyclopedia favorable to the Book of Mormon that I will speak of. It is as follows:

"Martin Harris called upon Prof. Anthon, of New York, with a transcript on paper which Smith had given him of the characters on one of the golden plates. 'This paper,' Prof. Anthon said, in a letter dated New York, Feb. 17, 1834, 'was in fact a singular scroll. It consisted of all kinds of crooked characters, disposed in columns, and had evidently been prepared by some person who had before him at the time a book containing various alphabets. Greek and Hebrew letters, crosses and flourishes, Roman letters, inverted or placed sideways, were arranged and placed in perpendicular columns," etc. The "learned" could not read it, and the book was delivered to him that is not learned. I will quote two verses from the twenty-ninth chapter of Isaiah, which is the prophecy regarding this matter.

"And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot, for it is sealed: and the book is delivered

to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned."

(Verses 11 and 12.) No man could read it, but God gave to an unlearned boy the gift to translate it.

I will now give you a description of the manner in which the Book of Mormon was translated. Joseph Smith would put the seer stone into a hat, and put his face in the hat, drawing it closely around his face to exclude the light; and in the darkness the spiritual light would shine. A piece of something resembling parchment would appear, and on that appeared the writing. One character at a time would appear, and under it was the interpretation in English. Brother Joseph would read off the English to Oliver Cowdery, who was his principal scribe, and when it was written down and repeated to Brother Joseph to see if it was correct, then it would disappear, and another character with the interpretation would appear. Thus the Book of Mormon was translated by the gift and power of God, and not by any power of man.

The characters I speak of are the engravings on the golden plates from which the book was translated. They were engraved thereon by the hand of a holy prophet of God whose name was Mormon, who lived upon this land four hundred years after Christ. Mormon's son, Moroni, after witnessing the destruction of his brethren, the Nephites, they being destroyed by the Lamanites — deposited the golden plates in the ground, according to a command of God. An angel of the Lord directed Brother Joseph to them. The language of the Nephites is called the reformed Egyptian language.

A Personal Testimony of Jesus Christ

A Personal Testimony of Jesus Christ
and the Reality and Power of His Atonement in My Life

It was during this time that I was called to come home to Christ. Shortly after my friend departed I found myself in my office alone and without work. The Spirit called me one day as I sat behind my desk and prompted me to pray. I instructed my secretary that I did not want to be interrupted under any circumstances and then locked myself in my office and began to pour out my heart unto God.

I prayed that day and for two succeeding days. I prayed long and hard and for many things. But the primary intent and focus of my prayers was to know the Lord and to understand and appreciate the personal implications of the Atonement in my life.

On the third day, July 21, 1981, I found myself kneeling again by my chair in fervent prayer to know the Lord. Suddenly I saw myself praying and the presence of the Lord was beside me. As I watched, the Lord spoke to my mind and said, "Look." I looked and for the first time in my life I saw myself as I really was, through the eyes of Christ.
What I saw I cannot fully describe in words. My whole soul was illuminated and I saw with complete clarity and understanding the deepest recesses of my subconscious mind.

I saw within the hidden nooks and crannies of my soul the effects of all my sins as well as all my sins of commission and omission which had been repressed into the hidden regions of my mind. I was completely transparent. Everything was now so painfully clear, my sinful motives, intentions and desires, all cleverly disguised and rationalized through years of self-talk. Even the good things I had done for the wrong reasons were flashed before my all-seeing eye. No act, word or deed escaped my view. I saw everything.

As I beheld myself thus, my mind was, to use Alma's words, "racked with torment" and "inexpressible horror." Several times I tried to shut out the vision but the Lord would not allow it. Each time I tried to turn away the Lord would say, "Look," and I continued to look into my soul. I wept and pleaded for the Lord to stop the vision. When I had finally seen everything, the vision ended and there was darkness. I tried to find the Lord but He was no longer beside me.

The scene instantly changed and I found myself behind the brush on the outside of a garden clearing. Again a voice came to my mind and instructed me to look. My eyes turned to the garden clearing and there, in the midst, I saw my beloved Redeemer. Suddenly it became clear to me that I was witnessing His act of Atonement. But what transpired I was not prepared to see.

How can one explain with mortal words the agony of a God. Anything I say or write somehow diminishes the impact.
Be that as it may, I saw the love and suffering of the Christ and am a personal witness of it. I don't know how it is possible, but I was in Gethsemane on the day of His Agony and I saw in great and terrible detail with my eyes and heard in awful clarity with my ears that which is too sacred to describe to unprepared ears.
His sobs and His cries pierced my soul and I felt the wrenching of my heart with each audible groan or quivering convulsion of His body. Then came the revelation that broke my heart: "Behold the love of God for you and His suffering for your sins."

It was too much to bear. As I became aware that He was suffering such agony for me because of my sins, because of His love for me for a "soul so rebellious and proud as mine," my heart broke and I thought I would die. Never had I sobbed and wept so violently and with such bitterness of soul. I never knew the body could sob as rnine did. I never knew a heart could break as mine did. I never knew a broken heart would hurt as much as I hurt. I was in agony as never before. I thought my heart would stop and my head and chest would explode. I cried out and begged the Father to stop the suffering of my Friend and Elder Brother. "Stop it! Stop it! Please stop His suffering!" I wept, I sobbed and my body convulsed in anguish as I attempted to reach through the brush to hold Him, to somehow comfort Him. But His suffering did not stop and there was nothing I could do to help Him.

Finally, resolving myself to this hopeless state and wishing only to die for what I had done to Him, I cried out through my choking sobs, "Please forgive me! Please, dear God, forgive me for what I have done to my Savior. I am sorry, so very, very sorry for hurting Him so. It is enough," I continued, "please stop His suffering. I will never again do anything to hurt Him. Never! Never!"

I continued to sob and plead for forgiveness until I was totally exhausted and lay slumped on the floor weeping hot tears of anguish and pain. My strength was exhausted and I was prepared to die when the vision stopped and the voice of the Lord said unto me, "My son, thy sins are forgiven thee."

When I heard these words from my Savior I was filled with fire, which I later came to know was the endowment of charity. Never had I felt such love, such peace. I was overcome again unto great sobbing, but this time with joy.

So intense was the outpouring of God's love through the fire of His Spirit that I felt as though my very life would end and my flesh would be consumed. I came to know by the spirit of revelation that my life was acceptable to the Lord; that I had been completely and unconditionally cleansed of all my sins and the effects of my sins; that I had been made holy, without spot -- clean every whit -- by His precious blood. I had been truly born again to enter into the Kingdom of God; I was redeemed from the fall; sanctified by the endowment of His perfect love, even charity. Through this experience I came to understand the meaning of total conversion; of justification and of sanctification; of full repentance.

I now know with a perfect knowledge that all men must be born again, or sanctified of the spirit, in order to receive their salvation and obtain their exaltation. I know now that only those who are truly born again can enjoy the blessings of the sanctified and can develop to the full stature of Christ. I know now that there is a difference between the righteousness of God and the righteousness of man; between full repentance and partial repentance; between a broken heart and a contrite spirit; between receiving forgiveness from one's sins and a complete and unconditional forgiveness from the effects of the fall or the natural man; between an awakening of conscience which cultivates a sense of duty to God and man and a mighty change of heart which bears the fruit of charity toward God and all men.

I know now that the only way to Christ is through the offering of a broken heart and that the only way to offer such a sacrifice acceptably is to experience, in a personal way, the power and reality of the Atonement in our life; to understand and appreciate sufficiently the personal implications of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our sins and fallen nature. Perhaps this may come in different ways to different people, but the substance and results of the experience will, of necessity, always be the same.

The greatest manifestation of God's love for us is in the Savior's suffering for our personal sins. It is the power of His suffering for us that draws us to Him in a complete sense and changes our heart totally. When our sacrifice of a broken heart has been accepted (i.e., justified) by the Lord, when we have fully repented of all our sins, then is our life acceptable (i.e., justified) unto the Lord. Sanctification, which is the effect or fruit of justification, totally cleanses and purifies the spirit and endows the person with a faith and hope in Christ, and with charity.

At this point, a few words of explanation might be appropriate. First, no one need suppose that they are exempt from the second birth or that their life and sacrifice is acceptable unto God unless it has been declared thus by the spirit of revelation. Such revelation is essential because we cannot, by definition, be conscious of sins and their effects that reside in the subconscious mind. A person can therefore believe that his/her sins and fallen nature have been repented of and yet have no knowledge that such is, in fact, the case unless it has been unmistakably revealed and confirmed by the Lord. All men and women must be born again to enter into the Kingdom of God.

There are those who may "speak with the tongues of men and angels" and "have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and... have all faith" yet, without spiritual rebirth, without the conferral of charity through personal sanctification, they become as "sounding brass, or tinkling cymbal" and are "nothing."

Second, no one who is to be truly born again can avoid the painful anguish of going through the birth canal and, while it is true that the gestation period of sanctification is indeed a process, yet the actual birth is an event in time.

Third, only the Lord defines the price that needs to be paid and the timetable of spiritual rebirth

Fourth, personal sanctification does not just happen. It must be sought for diligently through mighty prayer and obedience.

Fifth, personal sanctification is and can be experienced in mortality and should be sought for in this Life.

Sixth, the only way to offer up a broken heart sufficient for full repentance is to experience a personal encounter with the reality of the Atonement in our lives; to realize by the spirit of revelation the love of Christ for us personally, as manifested in His suffering for our sins. This does not mean that every person must have an identical experience to the one presented here, but an encounter there must be, and what a glorious encounter it is.

Seventh, no one can be truly born again, or sanctified, unless he/she has received the ordinances of baptism and confirmation and has fully repented of all his/her sins and will. Any forgiveness of sins referred to prior to baptism is merely conditional and anticipatory. Complete forgiveness through personal sanctification cannot take place without the ordinances of baptism.

The Ghost Dance - 1998 by Forrest Liggett

The Ghost Dance - 1998 by Forrest Liggett

In 1889 a Paiute prophet named Wovoka had a series of dreams or visions about a new world that was coming. He saw the ground covered with new soil to the depth of many feet. (Revelation 21: 1-4) New mountains rose up. Many white people were destroyed at this time. (3 Nephi 9:98-106) New grass and trees grew and the buffalo returned. Also their dead relatives returned and lived with them. (Revelation 20:4)

To the Native people a dance is a form of worship, a communal prayer, a time when they come together for one purpose, to become of one heart and one mind. It is thought by many people that a great number of fervent prayers for the same reason are more powerful than a single heartfelt prayer.

Wovoka was informed in his vision that if the people would do this dance, sing these songs and pray for a new earth and the return of the relatives, that their efforts would hasten the occurrence of this event. Since the Indians were praying for the return of dead relatives the white people called it a "Ghost Dance."

His vision caught the attention of many tribes, and many spiritual leaders made the trek from the plains over the mountains to the great basin of Nevada to meet this prophet and learn this Ghost Dance religion. These pilgrimages could take several months to complete before returning home. Even without the aid of modem E-Mail and fax, this dance spread thru most of the United States in one year. This new spirit and sharing the same religion caused the white folks to be uneasy so the army was strengthened and put on alert. In December, 1890, about 300 Minniconjou Sioux, Ghost Dancers; men, women and children under the leadership of Chief Big Foot were slaughtered at Wounded Knee Creek. This was the beginning of the end of the Ghost Dance. When a new earth wasn't born in the spring of 1891, many dancers became discouraged. The U.S. Government tried to make the dance illegal. There were still some Ghost dancers in the South; Kiowa, Arapaho, Osage and others until 1893 or maybe a little longer and then if the dance continued it was underground and is not recorded.

A Ghost Dance was held in Montana in 1997. Possibly the first in a hundred years or more. It was sponsored by the Wolflodge organization out of Spokane, Washington. Robert Ghost Wolf is the Spiritual leader. He is Metis', (a mixed blood) Lakota, Iroquois and European. This dance is open to all of the rainbow nation. We are all brothers.

I didn't hear about the dance in 1997, but while in Washington in June 1998 I saw the smoke signals and got a registration form. I prayed about going and everything rapidly fell into place for me to attend. The location in Montana was right on my way home from the Blackfoot camp which I was attending in Canada.

The purpose of the gathering of the Ghost children was to become one people, with one vision; to pray for the earth, for all the changes she will be going thru as she tries to purify from all of the pollution discarded on her by man; and to pray for the people as we pass thru the tribulations and purifications to come.

The camp was held in a beautiful valley at the base of the Rocky Mountains. It was a primitive camp like the ones we hold on the Navajo Reservation. It was 30 miles down gravel roads to the nearest town for supplies. There were about 200 people from all over the country, (a few from overseas) and many different backgrounds. There were full bloods, mixed bloods and no bloods, a true rainbow coalition.

There were talks by Hopi elders, Blackfoot elders and a special visit from Orvill Looking Horse, the 19th carrier of the Sacred Lakota Pipe presented by the White Buffalo Woman. After he spoke to us, he left to go to the United Nations to speak to the delegates about world peace and the indigenous peoples.

Several days were spent in preparation, prayers, meditation, purification sweat lodges and lectures by Robert Ghost Wolf. Also there was practice at drumming and dancing for those of us with two left feet. The actual dance went from sundown to sunrise both nights of the full moon. The power and majesty of nature and the Creator was evident in the lightning and thunder that accompanied the drums and dancers the first half of the night. After a brief rain the skies cleared to a full moon and a large rainbow at 2 o'clock in the morning!! Great and marvelous are thy works, O Lord God Almighty.

A change was wrought on most everyone that danced those two nights. A greater awareness of the earth as our living mother and a closer personal relationship with our Creator, the giver of life. The joy and love shared by 200 people that had been complete strangers just a few days earlier was a miracle to behold. I have never seen so much love shared in one place before. A taste of Zion!

Now I see why the Ghost Dance spread so fast a hundred years ago. I too would cross the mountains to find a way to be immersed in this much joy and love from the Creator. To share so much love one for another.

To quote Mark 12:35-36: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. This the first commandment, and the second is like this; thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandments greater than these."

The Ghost Dance was the closest I have ever come to loving my God and my brothers and sisters with all my strength. As for Indians dancing a hundred years ago for a new earth and an earth that is fresh and clean? Luke said something about that in the 17th chapter, the 39th and 40th verses. (not found in King James version) "For verily there shall be new heavens, and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. And there shall be no unclean thing; for the earth becometh old, even as a garment, having waxed in corruption, wherefore it vanisheth away, and the footstool remaineth sanctified, cleansed from all sin."

The Ghost Dance, one heart, one mind, one people, one vision. A taste of Zion.

The Vision of a Spiritual Leader Cries From the Dust

The Vision of a Spiritual Leader Cries From the Dust

My father was shown many things by the Great Spirit concerning the future of our people. He compared the indigenous people to a Cottonwood tree whose seed is caught up in the wind and should be scattered upon all the face of the earth. He said that our clan would be led to a land of Promise, a land which is choice above all other lands for the fulfilling of the Great Spirit's words that we should be scattered upon all the face of the earth.

I, Nephi, desired to know the things my Father had seen, and believing that the Spirit was able to make them known to me and as I sat pondering in my heart I was caught away in the spirit to a very high mountain which I never had seen before or set my foot upon. The Spirit was clothed in light and he was in the form of a man. I knew it was the Spirit of the Creator and he spoke to me as a man speaks to another.
And it came to pass that he said to me, "look and see your ancestors, and also the ancestors of your brothers!" I looked and saw the land of Promise And I saw great numbers of people even as many as the blades of grass.

And then I saw thousands gathered together to battle one against the other. I saw wars and great bloodshed among my people I saw many generations pass away because of wars and divisions in the land. And I saw many cities, so many I did not number them.
And after a time he said to me, "Look!" And I looked and saw a maiden most beautiful and fair above all other maidens. And the Great Spirit blew his breath upon this beautiful maiden and that in time, she became the mother of the Great Spirit. This child became a man with miraculous powers. And I saw in a far country, he was killed with arrows shot into his flesh. Shortly after his death he arose and came to my ancestors. He showed them his wounds and where the arrows had pierced his body. He performed great miracles in their midst and taught them many things. His eyes saw through men. His eyes saw and saw and men looked on and wept and stopped their wars, they stopped their hate. He talked of the plants and medicines and the elk and buffalo. He talked of the God above the stars, and he told men to be good, to love good, promising that he would return again for all good men and bring peace to the earth. He chose medicine men to teach and guide the people and they began to be good. He was known by many names and the morning star visitor departed to the east and promised to return again.

And the spirit said to me, "Look!" And I saw three generations pass away in peace without war. And I saw many of the fourth generation did pass away in peace. And then through the passing of time I saw my descendents and those of my brothers gathered together to battle. And I saw wars among them and many generations pass away. And the spirit said to me, "These will dwindle in unbelief". They became a dark and loathsome and filthy people, full of all manner of wickedness. They were full of hate toward one another.

And the spirit took me to a future time and I saw many nations and countries. And the spirit said, "These are the nations and countries of the white man ". And I saw the formation of a great church. And the spirit said to me, "See the formation of a church that is most evil above all other churches, that kill the people of God, and torture them, and bind them with oppression and bring them down into captivity".

And then my eyes did see many waters that they divided the white man from my, people. Then the spirit said." Look the anger of God is upon your descendents.
And I saw a man among the whites and the Great Spirit came down upon the man and he went upon the many waters, even unto my ancestors in this Promised Land. And it came to pass I did see the Great Spirit upon other pale ones and they came out of captivity upon the many waters. I saw great numbers of them upon the Land of Promise, and the anger of God was upon my people and they were scattered before the whites and they did beat them down. And I saw that the Great Spirit was with the pale ones and they did multiply and obtain the land because they humbled themselves before God.

And I, Nephi, did see the pale ones' mother country was gathered together upon the waters and upon the land also, to battle against them. I saw the power of God was with the white man and also that the wrath of God was upon those gathered against them to battle. The white man had gone out of captivity and were delivered by the power of God and began to prosper in the land.

And it carne to pass that I saw a book which was carried forth among them. Then the Spirit asked if I knew the meaning of the book. And I said I know not. And he said It contained many precious words and covenants of the Great Spirit and the Morning Star Visitor and is a record of the Jews. These things go forth from the Jews in purity unto the white man, according to the truth which is in God.

And the Spirit said after this you see the formation of that great and evil church which is most evil of all other churches. They have taken away from the book many parts  which are plain and most precious and also many covenants of the Great Spirit have been taken away. And it goes forth unto all the nations of the white man, even across the many waters. And you have seen the pale ones coming out of captivity bringing the book. And because of these things which are taken away from the book an exceedingly great many do stumble so much that Satan has great power over them.

Nevertheless, said the Spirit, you see the pale ones have gone upon the face of the land, which is choice above all other lands. This land is that which the Great Spirit has promised to your father and his children's children for the land of their inheritance. Now you see that God will not allow the white man to utterly destroy your children or the children of your brothers. Neither will God allow the white man to remain in that state of awful woundedness, that you see they are in, because of the plain and precious parts of the book which have been kept back by that evil church whose formation you have seen. God will be merciful unto the white man unto the visiting of your ancestors, the Indians, in great judgment because they have forgotten the teaching of the Morning Star Visitor.

And again the heavenly messenger said, after God has visited your people in judgment and beaten them by the hand of the pale ones, he will be merciful unto the pale ones. The Great Spirit will bring to them in his own power much truth which shall be plain and most precious.

God will manifest his spirit unto your people and they shall write many things which shalt be plain and precious. And after your people and your brother's people war against one another and dwindled in unbelief, these things shall be hid up to come forth unto the white man by the gift and power of the Great Spirit. These last records shall establish the truth in the book and shall make known the plain and precious things which have been taken away from it. And shall make known to all people that the Morning Star Visitor is the Eternal Father. the Great spirit and the Savior of the World.

And it shall come to pass that if the white man will listen to the Great Spirit, God will manifest himself unto them in word and also in power and take away their stumbling blocks. In the latter days when the indigenous people have become hopeless and dwindle in unbelief for the space of many years and many generations, then the missing truths shall come to the white man and from him unto the Indian people. The words shall be as if their ancestors are crying unto them from the dust. And their cry shall go, even according to the simpleness of their words. And because of their faith, their words shall proceed forth out of the mouth of the Great Spirit unto their latter day descendants. Because they are the most sensitive race in the world to the presence of God, they are a Chosen People through which to reach and influence others. Not favors, but burdens and sorrows were to be theirs. .Indigenous peoples are the mountain peak that caught the light of God's face earlier than other people and reflected it down upon the earth. They will not be destroyed for they shall hearken unto the words from the dust.

God shall raise up one mighty among them that will do much good, both in word and in deed. Being an instrument in the hands of God, with exceeding faith to work mighty wonders and do that thing which is great in the sight of God to the bringing together of all tribes into one nation. And in that day God will lift up his hand to the white man and set up His standard to the people. Even the captive of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered. For the white man shall bow down to them with their face toward the earth and lick up the dust of their feet. All will become one heart, one mind.

THE PROPHECY AT CO-LULA from "He Walked the Americas"

THE PROPHECY AT CO-LULA from "He Walked the Americas"

When the Prophet climbed His Temple in the beautiful morning of One Reed, the Toltecs were weeping for now they knew that He was leaving, and perhaps never again through the ages would He walk the Toltec Empire.

Once more He took them through the cycles of the Dawn Star, sometimes called the Star of the Prophet, Tlau-lacal-Pan-Tecutli, and into the vistas of the Future.
He repeated the warning given at Tula against the deeds of the Sacrificers, and foretold the invasion of White Man. He repeated again the description: the suits of shining metal, the rods which make much noise and kill at a distance.

Then He bowed His head in silence. When again He began. it seemed to the people that His voice was husky with teardrops.

"Once I had great hope for these people, for I saw them kneel and kiss the sweet earth, and I saw the shadow of the Great Cross which they carried with them. Yea, I had great faith in these people. Now I must warn you against them."

"Carry your great books into the jungles. Place your histories deeply in caverns where none of these men can find them. Nor do you bring them hack to the sunlight until the War- cycle is over. For children of war are these bearded strangers. They follow only the Law of the Jungle. They seek naught hut the golden metal as if that would buy them passage into the Isles of the Blessed."

"They have hut one love and that is for weapons. Ever more horrible are these weapons, until they reach for the one which is ultimate. Should they use that, there will he no forgiveness in that vale where there is no turning. Using such a weapon to make man over, is reaching into space for the God-Head. These things are not for man's decision, nor should man presume to think for all things, and thus hurl mockery at the Almighty. Woe to those who do not listen! There are lamps beyond that which you are burning; roads beyond this which you are treading; worlds beyond the one you are seeing. Be humble before the might of the Great Hand which guides the stars within their places. There are many lodges in my Father's Kingdom for it is more vast than time, and more eternal."

"Keep hidden your books, oh my children, all during the Cycle of Warring Strangers. The day will come when they will be precious."

"For the full Cycles of the Dawn Star, the rule of the warring strangers will go on to greater and greater orgies of destruction. Hark well to all I have taught you. Return not to the sacrificers. Their path will lead to the Last Destruction. Know that the end will come in five full cycles, for five, the difference between the Earth's number and that of the Gleaming Dawn Star, is the number of these children of warfare."

"As a sign to you that the end is nearing, My Father's Temple will be uncovered. Remember this in the days which are coming." For a moment the Prophet stood quietly. When He began again His voice was softer, and once more it held unshed teardrops.

"Once there was a Man who dreamed of a New World, of one without war and sickness. He wished to see the people happy, and so He fought sacrifice and slavery. To this dream He gave of his life-blood. He knew that this was the desire of the Great Spirit, but suddenly there came upon him mocking visions."

" A horrible gift had come upon Him. He could look down the cycles of the Dawn Star and see into the distant future. It would have been well if what He was seeing was the redemption of suffering mankind, but this was not what He was seeing."
"Tula was bereft with a savage earthquake. Then came the sacrificers. Blood dripped from the altars of idols. The same He saw in other cities."

"The visions were even worse in Colula. The streets ran red with the blood of fighting. First, even upon our Temple, He saw the blood of Sacrificing. Then came even a more hideous carnage. There was fighting up the tiers of the Temple!"
The people drew in their breaths as one being, whispering in shocked tones to one another: "What manner of men would commit such heresy'?"

After a pause, the Prophet continued:
"Soul-sick from these hideous visions, the Man sought the comfort of a mountain, to be alone and near the God-head. He must renew His will for teaching, or pray for death that the visions be ended; for they told Him that His work was mockery in this future, if indeed there was a future."

"There in the silence and cold of the mountain a great sorrow was laid upon him, and the man sank down in the softness of the snowdrifts and prayed for either death or guidance."

"Then the heavens spoke in a crash of thunder, and the lightning flashed above the valley. The Man turned to look again on Tula, His most beloved city. Behold! It was naught but a mass of rubble."

"He wept there with great sorrow. He clung to the rocks, staring back toward Tula.
"Then the heavens growled with reverberations which shook the mountain like a rabbit. A flash of white light crashed beside Him and cracked across the night's darkness. Behold! The old heaven and earth were swept away, as if the cycle He had been seeing was smashed, and He looked into another."

"The heavens parted and a rising gold sun shone down on another Tula. Plainly He could see the valley, but the city was one He knew not. Magnificent was this Golden Tula!"

"The Man was lifted beyond the cold earth. No longer He saw the Age of destruction. Gone was the horrible Age of Warfare. He was looking beyond the Age of Carnage!"
The Prophet stopped and stared about Him. He looked on the eyes turned up to Him. He looked on the young and on the aged, on the masses who followed each word in silence.  Then, softly, He continued:

"Walk with me through this Age of the Future. Tula shines in all of its glory, but the metals are of types we know not. Loving hands have rebuilt the parkways, have paved the streets, have rebuilt the temples. There is a great building where books are kept for the scholars, and many are those who come to read them. Tula is a great Center of Culture."
"Come with me to the New Colula. Shining again is My Father's Temple! Once more the city is filled with fountains and the parkways are wire-netted for the birds of rare plumage, and those who sing to enchant the listener. Cross through the Parkway to My Father's Temple. You will see again, the same inscriptions which today your eyes are seeing, but now all people can read them."

"Come to the metropolis of the future. Here are buildings unlike those we fashion, yet they have a breathless beauty. Here people dress in materials we know not, travel in manners beyond our knowledge, but more important than all this difference are the faces of the people. Gone is the shadow of fear and suffering, for man no longer sacrifices, and he has outgrown the wars of his childhood. Now he walks full-statured toward his destiny - into the Golden Age of Learning. "

"Carry this vision on through the ages, and remember Kate-Zahl, the Prophet."*

The Prophecy Of Deganawidah (an Iroquois Legend) The White, Red and Black Serpents by Forrest Liggett

The Prophecy Of Deganawidah (an Iroquois Legend) The White, Red and Black Serpents by Forrest Liggett

When Deganawidah was leaving the Indians in the Bay of Quinte in Ontario, he told the Indian people that they would face a time of great suffering. They would distrust their leaders and the principles of peace of the League,1 and a great white serpent2 was to come upon the Iroquois. For a time it would intermingle with the Indian people and would be accepted by the Indians, who would treat the serpent as a friend. This serpent would in time become so powerful that it would attempt to destroy the Indian. The serpent is described as choking the life's blood out of the Indian people.

Deganawidah told the Indians that they would be in such a terrible state at this point that all hope would seem to be lost. He told them that when things looked their darkest, a red serpent would come from the north3 and approach the white serpent. The white serpent would be terrified, and upon seeing the red serpent he would release the Indian who would fall to the ground almost like a helpless child. The white serpent would then turn all its attention to the red serpent. The bewilderment would cause the white serpent to accept the red serpent momentarily. The white serpent would be stunned and take part of the red serpent and accept him. Then there is a heated argument and a fight. The Indian revives and crawls toward the land of the hilly country. 4 He would then assemble his people together and they would renew their faith5 and the principles of peace that Deganawidah had established. There would at the same time exist among the Indians a great love and forgiveness for his brother and in this gathering would come streams from allover-not only the Iroquois but from allover-and they would gather in this hilly country, and they would renew their friendship.6  Deganawidah said they would remain neutral in this fight between the white serpent and the red serpent.

At the time they were watching the two serpents locked in this battle, a great message would come to them which would make them ever so humble. When they become that humble, they will be waiting for a young leader, an Indian boy possibly in his teens. who would be a choice seer. 7 Nobody knows who he is or where he comes from, but he would be given great power, and would be heard by thousands. He would give them the guidance and the hope to refrain from going back to their land and he would be the accepted leader. Deganawidah said that they would gather in the land of the hilly country beneath the branches of an elm tree. They should burn tobacco and call upon Deganawidah by name when they are facing their darkest hours, and he would return.

Deganawidah said that as the choice seer speaks to the Indians that number as the blades of grass, he would he heard by all at the same time. As the Indians are gathered watching the fight. they notice from the south a black serpent coming from the sea.8 He is described as dripping with salt water. He stands there and rests for a spell to get his breath. All the time he is watching to the north to the land where the white serpent and the red serpent are fighting. Deganawidah said that the battle between the white ad the red serpents opened real slow but would then become so violent that the mountains would crack and the rivers would boil and the fish would turn up on their bellies. He said that there would he no leaves on the trees in that area. There would he no grass, strange bugs and beetles would crawl from the ground and attack both serpent and he said that a great heat would cause the stench of death to sicken both serpents.9 As the boy seer is watching this light. the red serpent reaches around the back of the white serpent and pulls from him a hair which is carried toward the south by a great wind into the waiting hands of the black serpent. As the black serpent studies this hair, it suddenly turns into a woman. a white woman10 who tells him things that he knows to he true11 but he: wants to hear them again. When this white woman finishes telling these things. he takes her and gently places her on a rock with great love and respect. He becomes infuriated at what he has heard so he makes a beeline for the north and enters the battlel2 between the red and white serpents with such speed and anger that he defeats the two serpents who have already been battle weary.

When he finishes,13 he stands on the chest of the white serpent and boasts putting his chest out like he's the conqueror and he looks for another serpent to conquer. He looks to the land of the hilly country and then he sees the Indian standing with his arms folded and looking ever so nobly so that he knows that this Indian is not the one that he should fight. The next direction that he will face will he eastward.14 At that time he will be momentarily blinded by a light that is many times brighter than the sun. The light will be coming from the east to the west over the water. When the black serpent regains his sight, he becomes terrified and makes a beeline for the sea. He dips into the sea and swims away in a southerly direction. He shall never again be seen by the Indians. The white serpent revives and he, too, sees this light and makes a feeble attempt to gather himself to go toward that light. A portion of the white serpent refuses to remain but instead makes its way toward the land of the hilly country. There he will join the Indian people with a great love like that of a lost brother.15 The rest of the white serpent went to the sea and dipped into the sea and was lost out of sight for a spell. Then suddenly the white serpent appears again on the top of the water and is slowly swimming toward the light. Deganawidah said that the white serpent would never again be a troublesome spot for the Indian people. The red serpent would revive and he would shiver with great fear when he sees that light. He would crawl to the north and leave a bloody shaky trail northward. He would never be seen again by the Indians.16  Deganawidah said as this light approaches that he would be that light. He would return to his Indian people, and when he returns, the Indian people would be a greater nation than they ever were before.17
